Extension prevents playback of messages in Google Voice #65

I have verified that this extension prevents playback - I can successfully play back if I turn the extension off, and then prevent it again when I turn the extension back on. When on, the playback slider appears with the symbol to start playback, but when you click on it, nothing happens. Otherwise, love the extension!

Thanks for reporting! I have a feeling that this has the same cause as the SoundCloud issue, but I'll take a closer look.

Aha – I saw that report, but I didn’t read it. I’ll take a look to see if you’ve suggested anything there.

Hi – I just tried:

google.com/voice nothing prevent-deletion and also autoplay-only (also tried https://www.google.com/voice)

Each time, I reloaded the Google Voice page – but neither changed the behavior. Perhaps I have to close and reload the browser?

There's no way to disable autoplay for a specific URL, only domains (for the time being). I referenced the SoundCloud issue as more of a note to myself, since the SoundCloud issue is caused by a fundamental issue with the extension's design. The 0.7 release will address these issues by being a rewrite of the extension.

Ok, thanks. Now that I know what caused the fault, I can easily disable the extension when I need to hear voice mail. Or use MS Edge for that page. Thanks for all your hard work, and for your quick reply. -walt
