Not working for me #1

I had already reset extensions.installedDistroAddon.{e2fda1a4-762b-4020-b5ad-a41df1933103} and restarted Thunderbird.

I selected the Thunderbird version (68.8.1) and Language (Irish). It then does its work, but Lightning is still in English.

Is there anything else I need to do to make it work?

The only terminal output shows the download (which seems to be the right file): https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/releases/68.8.1/linux-x86_64/ga-IE/thunderbird-68.8.1.tar.bz2

After reading through your code I think I’ve found where it went wrong. My profile folder does not end in .default because I changed it at some point. Most people will not have done that!

If I rename my profile folder to end in .default the patching works. Perhaps it would be better to get the default profile from ~/.thunderbird/profiles.ini.

Not sure if this is also relevant, but a US English copy of {e2fda1a4-762b-4020-b5ad-a41df1933103}.xpi still exists in the default install profile (which I didn’t use since I copied my old profile folder from another Linux). That profile folder ends in .default-release so maybe your code isn’t finding it?
