Creating a system to easily disable children by toggling an enable parent:

Needs to support toggling the enable state, since the child can be set to have the opposite state and one parent can control two states
Would help cleaning up the render view when trying to implement complicated things like BYOH
Potential issue if the enable parents are layered?
