Buff/Debuff duration text interferes with other buffs/debuff texts? #434

Closed Denziz closed 5 years ago

Hello! This is a minor problem however it's kind of annoying, to best describe this issue I will show you two images down below:

1st image (BEFORE): capture

2nd image (AFTER): captureafter

In the first picture you see my battle shout buff, which is around 2 minutes left of it and you can also see an aurabar of shield block with it's duration left, this is how it's supposed to look like.

On the second picture though, you can see that the duration of the shield block aurabar has changed to the duration left of the battle shout buff, this lasts for only 1 second or so maybe less than that but it gets annoying after a while. This is a minor bug but would really appreciate if this could be fixed.

Please comment if this has happened to you or if it's only for me, maybe an addon outside of ElvUI is interfering with the buffs, I have no idea but would appreciate if you could look into this :)

Kind regards, Denziz.

Edit: I have deleted FuBar2Broker folder in ...\ElvUI\Libraries and the reason for it was to be able to show BigWigs minimap button however I don't know if the deletion of this library folder would have caused this but I'm letting you know. I haven't had any errors or so popping up as well.

auras Works fine for me. Get the latest version and try without any other addons enabled.

Denziz commented 5 years ago

Sure, will disable all addons except for ElvUI and then successively enable one addon at a time to figure out which addon that is causing it, one question tho. I guess there is no chance the ElvUI plugins could cause this right? I don't have to disable them correct?

Edit: Here are my addons maybe you suspect some addon to be causing this?

I disabled every addon except for ElvUI, ElvUI Config, !Compatibility and !DebugTools but still the problem is there :( What should I do?

Edit: I have the latest version of ElvUI I just downloaded it.

https://github.com/ElvUI-TBC/ElvUI/commit/275c5dbf487527c3240942d56c146deac7d44506 try this update

Denziz commented 5 years ago

I tried the update now and it still happens for a split of a second, sometimes it doesn't happen and sometimes it does and I don't know why, maybe it has something to do with my profile or a setting that is enabled?

Edit: How would I do a clean re installation of my UI and then import my profile and private settings back again?

I am also getting an error about AuraIconSpacing might be from the update or not, I'm not sure.

Message: ...stomTweaks\Categories\Unitframes\AuraIconSpacing.lua:116: bad argument #1 to 'pairs' (table expected, got nil) Time: 12/16/18 15:32:11 Count: 1 Stack: (tail call): ?

So its better now?

Denziz commented 5 years ago

Not really but it happens less I feel like but it's still there :(

Apollyonn commented 5 years ago

You can export / import your profile here. wowscrnshot_121618_190539 Save the text somewhere with notepad so you can import it after. You can do a clean install by deleting your cache and wtf folder. Make a backup of wtf folder first just in case. Then delete the addons from your addon folder and download the new ones.

Denziz commented 5 years ago

Will try that out and see if it's just a bad installation on my part or something, thanks :)

Denziz commented 5 years ago

Did it and it seems to be working fine now :)

Thank you so much!
