Commercial Break / Event as container. #574

So, when you want to move the break it in rdlogedit or rdairplay log, the elements inside are linked and move with the container.

That's why I use Aux 1/2 with the appropriate triggers or other needed macros or dead air files so I can move the breaks without having to move the spots

How I do it is have commercials in Aux1 or 2 Logs and have 3 commands from Rivendell to trigger one to another Set up macros Play Next Aux 1 Log Manual Mode Aux 1 Log Auto Mode for Aux 1 Log Play Next Main Log Manual Mode for Main Log Auto Mode for Main Log If your break is a 2 minute exact, you can set a 2-minute dead air log file as well, but make sure it's completely dead so that Rivendell doesn't chirp during breaks

Program a note after for "stopping" the log in Log 2

So, I have a log set up like this: Music Music Promo Macros Trigger (Play Next Log 2) Dead 2 Minute Audio File Weather Music

The reason why I have it set up this way is so I don't have to do anything with Auto or Manual mode, but due to spot lengths, you may want to consider to adjust according You can use a Load next macros to have it do the same thing, just have it like this Music Macros Trigger (To Load Break) Promo Weather

During the promo, the Macros Trigger will load the break events, it will automatically load like this Promo Macros Trigger (Play Next Log 2) Dead 2 Minute Audio File Weather

I'm not sure if it's good to continue here... So, you create a separate playlist with only "others audio" (comercials & promos) than music. And when you want to move the break event then you just move the one macro item.

Are you sure about the actions ? Because in my opinion the point (2) is wrong.

MAIN LOG->>>STOP EVENT :

  1. Play Next Aux 1 Log
  2. Manual Mode Aux 1 Log <-- this is wrong and must be "Manual Mode MAIN Log"
  3. Auto Mode for Aux 1 Log

AUX LOG ->>>STOP EVENT:

  1. Play Next Main Log
  2. Manual Mode for Main Log <-- this is wrong and must be "Manual Mode AUX 1 Log"
  3. Auto Mode for Main Log
