Could not upload Firefox extension: no manifest found

I've build plugin for Firefox, zipped and uploaded to the addons.mozilla.org, the error is:

Your add-on failed validation with 2 errors.
No install.rdf or manifest.json found
Add-on missing manifest.

So why is that? manifest.json exists in the archive.

Ok I had to zip files without containing folder.
