out of sync #54

candav528 commented 6 years ago

My wallet is stating (out of sync)?

bbtx85 commented 6 years ago

In the bottom left it should tell you the number of connections you have and what block. Make sure you’re using the newest wallet.

PrimaryColour commented 6 years ago

Mine is the same, although it says synchronising with network and is 1 year and 7 weeks behind. It's been on 7 weeks for almost an hour...

ghost commented 6 years ago

Im having the same issue

chriskimchee commented 6 years ago

Mine did the 1 year thing at first and now it just has no active connections

ghost commented 6 years ago

That’s where I’m at now. I can’t get it to even try to synchronize now

moneytrain81 commented 6 years ago

Same here. After trying again it went to 1 year and 5 weeks then the 1 connection it had dropped off and now it is just sitting there doing nothing.

jonjen2319 commented 6 years ago

my wallet says "out of sync" and there are no active connections. How do i get active connections?

Farasy commented 6 years ago

same here + high CPU load.

jonjen2319 commented 6 years ago

This is the version i just downloaded. I sent coins to it but it will not sync or get active connections.

Hello, the same problem! The wallet is not synchronized after the download. Sent coins to it, thought it would help, but coins did not come, where they are now - unknown. What to do? How to solve this problem???

ghost commented 6 years ago

Solved. Close out of the wallet, force quit, shutdown computer. Turn computer back on, open ember wallet with "Connect through SOCKS5 proxy" unchecked. With the wallet unencrypted, leave it and it will sync over a couple hours.

How can I perform this action with Mac Book Pro?

ghost commented 6 years ago

I also have a MacBook and did all that. Ill walk you through the steps one by one. Step 1: Open ember wallet and click Ember-QT at the top left and go to preferences Step 2: Click network and the make sure the only checked box is "Map port using PnP" Step 3: Close wallet and quit the application on the dock (if it freezes, force quit by clicking with 2 fingers on the emblem in the dock and clicking force quit) Step 4: Fully shutdown computer, wait til it is off, then restart it and log in. Step 5: Make sure that the first application you open is Ember-QT and it will show up as it did before "Out of Sync" and "No Network Connection". Leave the computer on and running without letting it go to sleep or even the screen turning off. Feel free to leave the application open on the desktop and go about anything you wish to do but let it run in the background. After a few hours you'll forget about it like i did and it will be connected and either finished or almost finished. Do remember this worked for me after i had the same issues everyone had. I hope it works for you guys. Also, I sent coins to the address when it was out of sync and thought they were gone forever. When the wallet synced my coins were there so hopefully you all are as lucky as i was.

Thank you for your response. So far it is isn't working... I do remember seeing the 1 year 10 week thing at the bottom before. So I guess when that is happening I should just let the computer do its thing overnight. It hasn't been doing that anytime I recently so I wonder what changed. Any other tips you might have would be much appreciated. I'll leave it open overnight and see what it does. Thanks in advance.

I left it open all night and nothing changed this morning. I wonder if there is a problem with my internet connection? Everything else on the computer is working fine. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

My guess would be the speed and bandwidth of your internet. Im running a Time Capsule as my router at 5gh with speeds near 70mb/s download, 50mb/s upload. Just keep trying, took me a week for me to fix my wallet

joshdan78 commented 6 years ago

Seriously a 5 year old child could make this application better. It should work first time, every time. Everyone I know cant get it to work without hours of work.

tonyc222 commented 6 years ago

****POSSIBLE FIX**** Okay so I might be onto something. My Cardano wallet wasn't working and someone somewhere on a forum suggested to change the automatic time and date off. I did and its finally started to sync for my ember wallet as well. I will update when it is finished!
