Fixed transpose bug #8

This should resolve #6 and #7. However, it is not tested yet

I will not be able to test it until start of next week, if someone has time to do a simple sanity check, it should be ready to be merged.

This seems like an ok change to me so I went ahead and merged. If it turns out to break lots of things I'll revert.
