duplication? #294

A donater (killtacular?) commented that his diamond pick had been duplicated from 1 to 4 somehow. I looked in his inv and he had four of them with the exact same usage on them.

Possibly related to the worlds inventory system?

Related to pickup distance. I told Emil last night - He said he would fix in the morning.

I would like to add - It happening once, is a chance. It happening more, is them trying to make it happen.

It's not every time - It's a pretty rare chance but sometimes you get lucky, It wasn't spotted in testing due to the rareness. If someone is getting 4x what they originally had - They are clearly exploiting the bug.

Is the duplication trackable in any way? (I tp'ed to blue4zion1234 last night and he was tossing blocks of diamond on the floor and picking them up. I thought he was just having fun but I wondered how he got so many as I rarely see him on. I switched to survival and picked some of them up but he gave a plausible answer so I gave them back. Later I realized he may have been exploiting a bug.)

BTW, do you think there was any form of duplication with the bank? I overheard blue4 asking about buying a /warp and I didn't think he played enough to have that much money. (Could be related to having sold some duped stuff too.)
