Dynamic Minimap/Main Map

Empires needs a map that shows players, spawn points, vehicles, and buildings.

will this work the same as srcpires where the mapper has to make the minimap out of a static image?

I think this is still the best approach, I know some games like battlefield have made "realistic" minimaps but I believe it's better to have something that was made to be easily readable. Think about the difference between Google Maps Satellite vs Map views.
