Cannot install DeckyControls with sudo password containing special characters #2

The workaround was to use a password with only alphanumeric characters. So I changed the sudo password.

The password before was 64 characters long, containing special characters:

eY-9>@^Q8%<G-+!xWb^g%&fIWw+v{rY`vzsC7?h'[j!KMX~S{(6@p)]{ZiUn

Seems like the bash script that runs in the background couldn't handle the special characters!

I have the same problem with a shorter password with special characters Screenshot_20231212_104249

and now it thinks it's installed and ZIP file emudeck-decky-controls.zip remains under home/deck/homebrew/plugins

Is there any workaround?

Hello. I equal problem. When i try to install deckycontrols plugin, after entering sudo password nothing happens. In logs after starting installation creates this message

[01/13/2024] passwd -S $(whoami) | awk -F " " "{print $2}" & exit [01/13/2024] stderr: deck P 2024-01-13 0 99999 7 -1

After this i have same error as on your screenshot.
