Does not happen here, switching between directories works fine.

Could be related to HBC (random crash after startup) or libogc (classic
controller in wimote #2) bugs.

Try removing the <no_ios_reload> line from meta.xml file in /apps/genplus

Sorry, not much I can do with so few details.

I don't know, USB compatibility is quite picky and I only have Western Digital
Passport for testing and it works perfectly (never got such freezing so far).
Maybe the drive just got disconnected and the browser can't read directories
anymore.

But it could be something else, try removing the <no_ios_reload> line in the
meta.xml file as I said and see if it helps.

Anyway, I need more informations: are you able to repeat the issues several
times or was it just once ? were you dou doing something special when it
happened (changing options, cheat codes, etc) ? did you have Wifi enabled ? Did
you have any other connected devices (USB keyboard, GC memory card, etc) ?

ALso, if there was an exception screen when it crashed (I'm not sure what you
mean by "reload crash" ?), uploading a screenshot always helps.
