Possible increase in input lag #354

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Load a game
2.Press a button/direction

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The action will take 1/5 of a second to occur, approximately.

What version of the emulator are you using (official, SVN revision,...)?
Latest stable version (1.7.4).

Please provide any additional information below (Emulator settings, Console
setting,...)
I'm not sure if it's a thing of the latest version, but as soon as I downloaded
and tried it today, I found myself missing some jumps in a Sonic game... Until
I noticed that it took Sonic some time to jump when I pressed the button,
almost as if I was playing Sonic Spinball.

I've tested it again and now I'm getting the usual quick reaction time.

Tried different graphic/sound filter combinations and no changes were
noticeable... I'll come back to this once I find out why it happened.

Nothing changed in 1.7.4 that could cause this , i even recently tested against
the real thing on the same tv and input responsiveness feel exactly the same,
no lag here.

The fact that it was a single shot issue and you cannot reproduce it indicates
more a randow hardware problem (bluetooth communication loss, wiimote sync
issue, etc) than lag caused by the software, I wouldn't bother about this if I
were you and there is nothing i can "fix" on my side anyway.
