Turbo no working in gamecube #19

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Load any game
2. Try to use the turbo buttons (Button X or Y)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Activate the turbo function, but instead nothing happens.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
r26 Gamecube

Please provide any additional information below.
Looks like the emulator does not recognise correctly the gamecube control.

Was this working on previous versions?

I don't have a Gamecube which is capable of launching homebrew apps, so i can't
try to reproduce this, but i'll have a look at it

Nothing has changed in the code regarding input or autofire handling. Try
reconfiguring the keys in emulator options to use different gamecube buttons
and see if that helps.

Sorry i was wrong, the problem is also present in rev r21

I think that this is a bad button assignation because it works when you press
L+X or L+Y which according to the hugo-gx.txt is the Wii's Classic Controller
mapping.

Well, that's how it is supposed to work (the menu key has to be held as well to
switch autofire, it was added on user request), it just has not been updated in
the documentation.

But it always returns to the menu, and is very annoying to get back from the
menu each time you want to use the turbo.

It is supposed to work always activated?

Really, I don't remember. I think it was taht way because someone asked for
some combo to enable/disable autofire (people were accidentally activating
turbo). It's easy to change anyway but I personally don't have the time for
that sorry.
