Save files from others not working or crashing JPCSP #333

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Creating a brand new save file works nice, but "importing" save files from
others (i.e. downloading from GameFAQs.com and placing them in the ms0 folder)
lead to two possible problems:
1) It simply doesn't work at all with some games (i.e. SF Zero 3) or messes up
with the game's graphics (DBZ Shin Budokai 1 & 2);
2) It crashes the game completely upon loading the save (i.e. Irregular Hunter
X). The log shows this specific possibility.

Is this a bug or a programming limitation?

Since I lost everything in my HD, I couldn't test it out until now...
By the way, what's the difference between using crypto mode or not?

This is the log file generated when I tested SFZero3 with a save from GameFAQs
using r2971 x64 a couple minutes ago. Either auto-load and manual load didn't
work.

Can SFZero3 load a savedata created by Jpcsp itself?
I.e. is it only not working when loading a savedata from a real PSP?

Original comment by gi...@web.de on 22 May 2013 at 2:17

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
If the savedata is created from scratch by Jpcsp itself, it loads normally.
Savedata from a real PSP (or downloaded from the web) doesn't work.

Some saving issues may have been fixed in r3403. This issue in particular
(SFZero3 and other games from FW 2.00 to FW 3.00) is still being investigate.
Thanks for testing!
