It's cut off for some reason, i imagine this doesn't happen in windows (but do 
not know)

It seems to be related to the window manager you are using. I am here on XFCE 
and it is looking fine (see the attached screenshot). Most likely it is a font 
issue (comparing the box sizes).

I'll look into it and let you know once there is something to test. :)
