Set in settings (sd:/pcsx-r/config.ini) "PsxOut" to 1 and try again. You will
see the
progress of game loading.
Where are 2 option:
- You should wait a little further.
- Error message. Then write it here.

Uh... "PsxOut"? is that an option in the configuration menu or something? ^^;

It's a string in config file. (sd:/pcsx-r/config.ini)

rename the file config.ini? also does it matter if I have more than one plugin
for a
certain area (Video Plugins, per say)?

No. Open it with notepad and change "PsxOut = 0" to "PsxOut = 1".
> if I have more than one plugin for a certain area...
How you managed to do that? O_o

Create a notepad?
and I DL the normal psx plugins (like Kazzuya, Eternal, Petes OpenGL etc) and
put
them in the root, well now they're the plugins folder.

I'm getting the same black screen as Zettmen, but I know what notepad is :-P
I set psxOut = 1 in the config file. My guess is a bad ROM, but that's just a
guess.
Here's everything I got on screen (in between the quotes):
"
start SysInit()
psxInit()
LoadPlugins()
start CDR_init()
end CDR_init()
start PAD_init()
end PAD_init()
start PAD_init()
end PAD_init()
end SysInit()
start SysReset()
end SysReset()
CD-ROM Label: GTA
CD-ROM ID: SLES00032
CD_init:addr=801bdd40
"
That's all. Does EDC need to be included in to ROM for the emulator to play it?
(This ROM is 'no EDC')

Can't say for sure. I don't have games without EDC.

Well, it may have been my ROM but I used a different one and tried to load it
but it
still didn't work. The error came up pretty much exactly the same except it had
a few
lines of audo track stuff. So I figured it might be something to do with the
audio
track... I opened audio.ini and set cdda=1 (instead of the default cdda=0) and
it
worked! :-D I also loaded the ROM then pressed reset before start game so that
may
have fixed it, but either way I got GTA working, woot! :-P If only I knew how
to code
I could contribute but I guess just thanking you for the awesome emulator will
have
to do. Thanks! :-)
P.S. The top and bottom of the screen is not viewable (aka, the game is
stretched
just slightly beyond the TV's viewing borders) when I play GTA, although this
may be
a big ask, any chance of a viewing screen changer/resizer of some description
included in the game so I (and others) could fix this? It's only a small problem
really and probably a lot of code to fix so I'm not making any demands at all,
just a
suggestion really :-)

@ The top and bottom of the screen is not viewable.
It can not be solved by changing the settings, but I look the problem.
@ I opened audio.ini and set cdda = 1 (instead of the default cdda = 0) and it
worked!
Thank you for such a clear test. Try to correct all errors as soon as possible.

is it possible this error has something to do with not having certain ISO's?
say dvd
x or a CIOS installer.this problem never happened to me.

Are you sure you haven't forgot to put the bios on your SD card?

Hey firnis@ya.ru, I fixed the 'top and bottom cut off' issue by accident :-)
It's
because I had my PAL Wii settings (with PAL TV) set to 60Hz and not 50Hz! I set
it to
50Hz and now I can see the top and bottom! Yay, thanks for the awesome program
:-)

firis, i think i know this problem i had it myself.

none of my games are loading which have been played a lot on pc psx so i dont
think its
a bad rom. an fps shows with 00.0 and the bios is in the right place. i would
gladly go
change the config except that there was no config.ini in the download.
