This is not a proper Wii UAE issue.
The mouse and keyboard are managed by the low level libraries (ogc and
libwiikeyboard) and by Nintendo IOS (typically 58).
It means the those libraries do not well support your mouse and keyboard.
You can try launching UAE wii with a different IOS or CIOS using a launcher
(like Wiiflow and maybe wiixplorer).
I tested UAE Wii with my mouses and keyboards (also wireless) and they all work.
There is another report of wireless keyboard not working:

Helle again.
I have tried as you suggested (launching from wiixplorer & wiiflow) and
unfortunally it did not solve the problem😞
Just in short. Do you think it could be that there is one reciever for both
mouse and keyboard?

You should try using wiiflow with different IOS or CISO (e.g. 249) (there is a
specific option for it) even if this likely does not solve the issue.
I do not think that one reciever for both mouse and keyboard will solve the
issue even if I have never tried.
I think the issue is due to the incompatibility of some wireless device with
the WII low level library.

Hello again.
Just a brief follow up. I will try bying a new mouse/keyboard with just one
common reciever for both.
Just yesterday i went through the issues on this side and many of the issues is
about mouse jerkiness.
Last night i tried to install Dmouse from fish disk 407 and that was a
tremendous improvement.
I have never experienced such a good and smooth respond from the wiimote on
wiiuae. And the pointer stayed inside the screen all the time and responded
very, very fast.
You can tell people to try that. 😃👍

That's a very good piece of news. I have tried several solutions to fix the
mouse jerkiness. I got only some improvements without a final fix.
I will soon test the program that you suggest.

I know it won't solve the problem like that but i experienced great
improvements with that little program.
I know it can be setup in the CLI/SHELL and it also can be run via the
"s:/startup-sequence". In the setup i think it is possible to adjust the
smoothness/reaction of the "mouse" eg wiimote.
Good luck and thx for your great work.
Right now i am "playing" with 3 X 1GB, 1 X 500 MB and 1 x 200 MB hardfiles
thanks to v11 of UAE Wii.
I also managed to make a bootable DH0 and i am working on WHDLOAD with a
complete set of WHD files.

At last success.
Launching through wiiflow and a new set of mouse/keyboard and it all works.
I don't know which IOS/CIOS wiiflow uses and not how i can change it?
Thank you for your advice and splendid work and a merry christmas🎅

Happy to see you have solved the issue.
There is an option to change the ios when you select the program to launch.
UAE wii can be also launched as plugin inside Wiiflow.
Abdallahterro included UAE wii inside his pack but he did not update it yet
with the last Wii UAE version (he will).

Thanks again.
Looks very nice with that wiiflow install.
I will wait untill UAE WII V11 appears to install/update the lot.
