[suggestion] painless alchemy mechanic #15

hi! i wanted to suggest a feature for the future if you agree:

alchemy is pretty unfun for various reason, main of which is the fact that you usually have to do the same recipe 2-3 time, while loosing 2.3 times the material.

what about an option to keep the item on the alchemy table and only loose the ashes?

(or if you are planning on backporting the new alchemy mechanics, also that would be really nice)

If you want there is a config option that shows the exact amount of ash needed when looking up a recipe. That way you don't waste any material. I've never played the never version of embers so no comment on that. Furthermore there are quite a few things that need to dealt with before I'm able to think about improving core gameplay or extending it with various ideas I have myself.

One thing I might do is adding a config option, to not consume the items, if the amount of ash was wrong. I think this should be easily doable.

Yup, i saw the cheat, that's why it came to my mind c: I think that, while the cheat is for sure an easy way of fixing it, it also remove the "minigame" aspect from it...
