About publishing on crates io #2

Hey man Thank you so much for creating this crate, I'm looking at making a terrain locator in rust and this is perfect. I understand how much work and free labor is required to maintain a crate from the readme. I did want to let you know that you can pass on crate names if you yourself can give permission. The rust foundation is pretty stupid with the rules about crates, but this is also the only maintained binding and wrapper crate for cubiomes.

Hi,

me passing on the name would probably still imply, that I'm the creator of it. Giving it back would totally be an option, but would seem kinda awkward in my opinion (kinda like a thief giving back stolen goods; pardon the bad and harsh sounding example).

On GitHub I don't really mind, since the project name is namespaced behind the username. But on something like crates.io, it doesn't have a namespace to point that out.

I have not had a need for cubiomes (at least to personally do development with) for quite a few months now. And I wouldn't want a published crates to be effectively be abandoned or cause me a maintancene burdon, that I don't care about.

Luckily, with rust, you can always specify a git repo and ref. So I don't consider it a big downside to not be on crates.io (apart from discoverability ofc).

I'm grateful though, that I could help you out with this.

You seem to have way more ambitions with this project than me. If you like, I can transfer this project to you, or archive this and refer to your fork of it. I also don't mind if you publish it on crates.io. That's your decision to make.

I'll think about it, maintaining a solo project is very hard theres no friends or coworkers to ask for help.
