Currently the leniency options for downloading content from Modrinth are very strict. Once again tying in to permitting people to use unsupported types, A configuration menu should be added with the following checkboxlist()
Require plugin to support server version [Modrinth limits 18 versions and sometimes plugins work on other versions
Require plugin to support server software [Just in case]
Require plugin to be of the "mod" type [This is once again just in case]
