Import characters from CBuilder #269

Hi,

I hope this is not answered somewhere else… I feel like my question is super obvious but I am unable to google the answer I’m looking for.

We can only import character (actor) from json files. But I am unaware of a json format that is made from any software/utility for 4e.

However, I use CBloader and it creates .dnd4e files. Is there a way to use those files with your module?

if yes how? If no, can this be a new feature?

Unfortunately, because of the way CBLoader stores the information, it is not possible for the system to ship with a general-purpose CBLoader importer that converts .dnd4e files to Foundry without also distributing content that is non SRD (aka copyright WotC).

However, one of the 4e community members has written an importer and instructions on how to import a dnd 4 file and convert your data between formats. You will need to join the D&D 4e discord and have a look in the pinned posts in the virtual tabletops channel.
