I'm not sure I'd block OCSP validation servers just for the sake of blocking them. It's the same reason I don't block NTP, SMTP, whois, and ip lookup type servers. They may be unnecessary but they can serve a purpose outside of just saying they're tracking you. And they definitely don't serve advertisements unless some developer intentionally names a server something legit sounding to be sneaky.
