The AEO industrial energy consumption tables for each subindustry include a section on combined heat and power, including CHP capacity, generation, and sales of electricity to the grid. We could consider tracking this and subtracting the electricity sales to the grid from total electricity demand. I believe this is especially common in the EU, so would be helpful for that model.
I've tentatively assigned this a 3.5 label, but we can revisit whether we want to add this and for which release number.
