unlike e.g. hoppers (which paper and wg each have configs for already), pistons are a pretty core part of protection and i don't think it's a good idea to make that configurable. your spark screenshot doesn't really convince me that WG is particularly problematic here. the pistons themselves are probably at least as bad if this is even a concern.
