The very serious business managers of our serious business have heard that doing things on the main thread slows things down. They are told that if you can move all calculations to background worker threads it makes user interface much more responsive and much faster. Please update this code to use observable pattern instead of doing things synchronously. All processing needs to be done asynchronously.
