Query on FizzBuzz Enterprise Edition #527

Hello, my manager has assigned me the task of selecting a FizzBuzz library for use on one of our zSeries 900 mainframes. I had a few queries regarding FizzBuzz Enterprise Edition. Apologies in advance if something in my query isn't clear, most of our development team was recently laid off. The good news is that I was promoted to senior developer, but the bad news is that my key area of expertise is in Microsoft Word and Excel (as I was previously a member of the technical writing staff).

  1. Can FizzBuzz Enterprise Edition be used with a IBM Rational COBOL Runtime version 6?
  2. What are the main KPIs that set this implementation apart from other implementations of FizzBuzz?
  3. What are the typical resource requirements for a single FizzBuzz instance? Can two copies be open on the desktop at the same time?
  4. Which databases are supported by FizzBuzz Enterprise Edition?
  5. Do you have competitive analysis data comparing this implementation against other competing implementations?
  6. Are both node locked and floating licenses available?

Best Regards,

Hi Nate. I tried to call you earlier and it went to a laundry business.

  1. We can adapt FBE to any kind of machine you need. I've even seen our engineers run it on a spinning fork.
  2. I am not familiar with the term KPI. I asked around, and no one on our staff is.
  3. Resources required for a fizzbuzz instance: this depends on the size of your mainframe, but it usually helps to have a Capri Sun handy.
  4. All the databases. None of them. Half of them. Whatever you need, we will get it done, just as soon as you sign the contract.
  5. All our competitive analyses say you should buy this one. From us.
  6. License?

Hi Brad, thanks so much for getting back.

Unfortunately the requirements of the project have changed based on some further marketing survey results.

We now are looking for a String Reverse Enterprise Edition library.

I will keep FizzBuzz Enterprise Edition in mind for future projects, should the need arise.

Best Regards,
