Community Manager needed #78

As is the wont of enterprise quality projects, Fizz Buzz Enterprise Edition has really taken off and has risen to enjoy the popularity that you would expect for a solution of this caliber and with such widespread commercial appeal.

As we hope to continue enjoying the enterprise-grade pull requests, issues, and discussions created by the community, it seems due time to expand the team. We are primarily looking for people to help respond politely to issues and decide whether pull requests satisfy organization code quality policies. With the plethora of community feedback we are receiving, we feel some of the invaluable community feedback goes unheeded due to lack of time.

If you are interested in becoming an official member of the team and being granted the privileges needed to help supervise our issues and pull requests, you should comment on this issue.

We would particularly like to hear from @Dmitry-Me or @joezeng, who we think possess precisely the right Enterprise mindset, but anyone is welcome to apply.

Unfortunately, I've realized that I have too many other commitments to be consistently available for this project. I nominate @Dmitry-Me for the job instead, as he seems to be more actively involved in it than I am.

OMG I'll need half a year of paperwork with my current employer before I'm allowed to commit to something serious like being a community manager for an enterprise grade project. I think it'll be more efficient if I just continue sending pull requests.

As a bureaucrat-in-training, I would like to volunteer. I promise to resolve most issues by delegating to the crowdsource and leveraging the cloud. I want to be part of the management team that drives Enterprise FizzBuzz into the infinitely scaleable cross-cloud-sphere, allowing us to utilize all of the big cloud providers. I will keep strict metrics on bugs, tickets, and meeting minutes, and will rule with an iron fist.

W'dya say?

On the surface, I will agree with everything that bstempi's just said to win credit from him and other members of the upper management team, whilst criticising his management approach behind his back so that if anything goes wrong I can say that 'I would have done a better job' and that 'I knew it wasn't right from the start'.

bstempi commented 10 years ago

I'm glad to have your +/- 1.

Dmitry-Me commented 10 years ago

@bstempi It looks like you don't use buzzwords often enough.

Hi, @Dmitry-Me, Your message is in my management queue. I'll get back to you soon.

During our scrum meeting this morning, my personal assistant put this message into the, "Respond to Messages" story." so I'm responding.

I would like to point out that I don't use buzzwords; I simply employ a vocabulary that centers around maximizing the value for shareholders by decreasing IT costs and increasing ROI by embracing solutions instead of products and minimizing stakeholder risk. This is why I'm proposing that we migrate the project to IBM ClearCase and start using an agile methodology. Management will save time by not having to write requirements, and the crowdsource will save time by having the best tools that money can buy. Only Agile can overcome the distances, communication latencies, and red-tape of such a project. Doing so will increase the value for the shareholders because they'll get a product that is backed by the most advanced development processes on the face of the earth.

This will really put a feather in the team's cap!
