Applications that cannot be handled correctly #813

With cyberpunk 2077 ghost chat always gets hidden behind the window. I've tried running the game in Fullscreen, Windowed and Windowed Borderless but it still gets hidden away

Hey @LostThoughts, thanks for bringing this up.

Is this only happening in Cyberpunk 2077 or in other games too? Unfortunately, I cannot test this directly since I don't own that game.

i have the same issue with Minecraft

It also gets hidden behind Rainbow Six: Siege I'm using RS6 in Vulkan mode, I don't know about OP, but may this be an issue?

Edit: After some Testing: It gets hidden in either Fuillscreen or Borderless Window In Regular Window mode, the App works as expected on top.

Have this issue as well for plethora indie games (like those built on Godot, for example) and some AAA games too that run in fullscreen. Seems to be a common bug.

fullscreen is not officially supported, for the other games I honestly don't know what prevents ghost chat from being on top of all the other windows

if I find something related to it I will let you know

I am getting the same issue with v2.9.0 and v3.0.0 of ghost chat with Fortnite in exclusive fullscreen but not windowed full screen. I am 90% certain it was working before the app auto updated to v3.0.0 when fortnite was in exclusive fullscreen mode.

I have the same problem with Age of Empires II: no matter the type of window, as soon as I switch to AoE2 GhostChat window will lose the "always on top" property and stay below the game

a possible solution for games that cannot be handled correctly, requires the installation of powertoys

Maybe I should have specified that in my case I'm on Linux, with different window managers, and that is how I saw the change in properties

I do not officially support linux and can't provide support for it.
