NTR: climatic zone Definition: US FDA 1995 Code: CLZ Source--National Geographic Atlas of the World, Revised 6th Edition, 1992. All terms from Vladimir Koppen system based on precipitation, temperature and vegetation. [FOODON:03520193: https://www.ebi.ac.uk/ols/ontologies/foodon/terms?iri=http%3A%2F%2Fpurl.obolibrary.org%2Fobo%2FFOODON_03520193] Parent: environmental feature ENVO:00002297 Synonyms: climate classification

This already exists in FOODON, and I notice there's a note to get them mapped over into ENVO, so perhaps this NTR is just a nudge(?). I can say that there have been two or three occasions in the last few months I could have used it.

Hmm, should definitely sort this out. We have a zone hierarchy to handle this. More soon after I coordinate with FOODON.

Ah, this is an artifact of the LanguaL import in FOODON. which system of climate zone classification do you use / favour?

I'm curating datasets related to articles for Scientific Data, so classification I need depends on what the authors have used. So far the only one I've neede has been Koppen (two or three cases), so the daughter terms in the FOODON ontology seem appropriate.
