the term "deforestation ENVO_02500012" uses the word undergrowth within the description: "The removal of forest and undergrowth to, for example, increase the surface of arable land or to use the timber for construction or industrial purposes. " But we do not have a term to define "undergrowth". Definition (from google dictionary): "a dense growth of shrubs and other plants, especially under trees in woodland." position in ontology: probably under "terrestrial biome ENVO_0000044"

Should this be a synonym of understory, or it's own class? http://purl.obolibrary.org/obo/ENVO_01000335

The description provided by wikipedia does give undergrowth as a synonym, so yes I think that would be fine for us to. thanks

Undergrowth added as a synonym for future use, thanks for the request!
