Lack of tonality (hearing model) sound quality metric #82

I only found the tr/pr sound quality metric, but not the tonality (hearing model) sound quality metric. Which is the best sound quality metric in tr/pr/tonality (hearing model)? If tonality (hearing model) is useful, I am going to write the python code of tonality (hearing model) recently and upload it to MoSQITo Library. Hope to get your reply as soon as possible.

Hi,

Indeed the tonality from ECMA 418-2 is currently lacking in MOSQITO. We are currently working on the roughness from ECMA 418-2, and the tonality was supposed to come after, so we'd be very happy to review your implementation :) This metric would be very useful for all MOSQITO users, thanks for your contribution !

Don't hesitate to share your fork if you need some help with the implementation...

Hi everyone,

i am currently working on a students project to port a licenced sound quality calculation to open source and will need the HMS Tonality. Where can i find your current progress on ECMA 418-2? I would like to take up the challenge of contributing this part to the open source project. Your work, until now, already saved a ton of time.

Thanks for your reply and the best wishes from Germany

Hi,

I am a PhD student and in my research I am working on the sound of pumps, which is very tonal. For me it would also be very interesting to know when I can expect the tonality to be included in the package.

Thank you in advance! Matthias
