Firefox support? #3

Will this extension come to Firefox at some point? Thanks, I really like this addon!

Good morning,

At the beginning, I did want to have Firefox support but, the guidelines got stricter and I didn't want to change most of the code to conform. I currently don't have any intentions of porting this to Firefox, but it's definitely possible. There is still legacy-code to help ease the transition.

Oh ok. I'm not sure if you know this but, if you released the extension file for Firefox people could install it directly from github. Users dont need to use addons.mozilla.org for extensions if they dont want to.

I just wanted to say I came here specifically for this comment thread. I was also looking for this as a Firefox extension and would love to see it, so I wanted to ask if you would please consider it. Thank you.

I've given this some thought: I'll put out one (1) Firefox version v5.30 but, someone else will have to port future versions. It should have most (if not all) of the same capabilities.

Edit: Will wait for Firefox to support MV3

Awesome, I very much look forward to it! It will be published on the Firefox extension shop or will we have to download it from here? Hopefully someone who knows how to code will step up and offer to do the Firefox updates. Thanks again!

Since Firefox won't have MV3 for a while, I'll try porting to MV2 and giving it a test later on today.

Still working on this... Firefox has more nuances than needed :P

Never posted an update: will not be porting to MV2, but will be testing FF MV3 to see how it fares
