Add tests to avoid and identify potential protocol errors.

Some of the important tests:

[x] Authentication error
[x] Authentication successful
[x] Subscribe
[x] Unsubscribe
[x] Send publish
[x] Receive publish
[x] Ping
[x] Regular disconnect
[x] Will packet
