UE to Rigify - Multiple Rigs in One Scene #186

Hi there

Is it possible to have two or more rigs active in one Blender scene? I am trying to create a set of animations where two characters are interacting, which requires both of them to be animated in the same file.

However, the addon does not seem to let me convert the second rig, because one is alredy active. It only allows me to revert/bake the old rig on the first character. I have not found a way to duplicate the setup either.

Attached, you van find an example scene in Blender. Essentially, I am trying to add the rig to both characters in order to animate an interaction between them. Any help with this would be much appreciated!

@JonVD Currently there is not an out of the box way to handle 2 characters in the same scene with UE to Rigify. There would have to be some redesigning of the tool to make this work

Thanks @james-baber for your response, and my apologies for the delay on my end! I might add this as a feature request later, although I must say that I do not possess the skills to help add this to the addon myself.

@JonVD Ill change this to a feature request. Your best bet now is probably to use 2 different blender instances with the characters separate and send them to unreal and preview them together in there.

Thanks for your help and for the tip! I have tried this as a workaround, but it does not allow me to do things like parent constraints the way I want to. I don't know if this is at all customary on Github, but I would be glad to provide a small financial contribution to anyone who manages to fix this, as the feature will be useful for my own projects.

This feature would be great. Tried some workarounds in blender but no good results.
