One thing I'd like to bring up talking to @stardustfox and additionally having seen myself.
The Church Obelisk as current is completely broken. From what I've gathered the least to most important in order is that;
Each Obelisk requires 10 plasteel, 5 gold, and 1 cruciform to construct. A cruciform has a cooldown of 10 minute per altar--however there are 5 Church altars meaning 5 per 10 minute. With Lonestar or gold stock this makes it easy to spam.
Sigma has given the suggestion of making it limit per person not per altar instead, still this wouldn't stop 1 per 10 minute or a larger populated church to do so either.
Obelisks are activated and linked to any Cruciform member, this gives them faith recharge and litany cooldown reduction..
However without a cap this means that the recharge and cooldown is absolute fast--from what I've been told by StarDust (who tried this on live), 10 Obelisk next to you recharge your faith from 0 to 50 in a second...
Perhaps add a cap to how much Obelisk faith regen/litany cooldown is applied per person.
Obelisks additionally are turrets, this requires a person with cruciform to be nearby to activate it... but it is otherwise not coded as turrets and are completely invisible to mobs.
This makes putting it somewhere with visibility towards an enemy/group of enemy and sitting by the corner effective as a cheese to clear dungeons.
Yes you can spam it in deep maints and watch as it all kill everything and everyone while the deep maints mob only target you--
Obelisks killing mobs raise the Will of the Protector's observation level, making it level up rapidly and giving rapid buffs and armament point. This by itself seems to be problematic since it gives Church infinite level up.
One person powering all 10 or more Obelisk is absurd, perhaps limit how many Obelisk can be activated by one cruciform?
Current suggested number is 3 to 5 for each person, 5 is still absurd in my opinion.
They are completely invisible to enemies. Why don't we make it more like a turret with higher health than others (since it requires an operator and if I remember correctly lower damage than other turrets in comparison) so that it does get attacked when it's left alone or gets attacked in deep maint without blocking mobs to the operator?
Small level 2 or something light explosion on destruction may be nice to kill lower health swarms that may have destroyed the Obelisk, plus no drop loot (no cruciform and gold reclaim).
Very good suggestion from Zenith Eevee, which is giving it higher armor during inactive, lower armor when active. This makes it so you have some time to leave it there without the Obelisk immediately exploding.
