no connection between smartphone and pc #152

after the update to vlc version2.0.1 i can't get a connection please help me

I have a similar problem. I cannot get my phone connected to my computer. 
I tried to add a computer, then it asked for a "passcode". I could not provide 
the passcode, so the computer was not added.
I am using an Android VLC Remote 2.40 (001), and a VLC Media Player 2.0.1 
Twoflower
My Android version is 2.3.6.
I am using a Samsung GT-I8150.
I would appreciate any help.

I got same problem!
Did all the things, that were written in tutorials (setup interface etc.). I 
tested it with my PC-browser on "localhost:8080" and i see the VLC-WebUI. I get 
the same screen when I use the browser on my phone (Samsung Galaxy Nexus with 
4.0.4 Android).

VLC Version is 2.0.1

I have uninstalled the app, reinstalled it and suddenly started working again!

Forgot to say that when I try to connect to server aka. my PC there is comes a 
message with java.lang.NullPointerException. Looks like it comes from the not 
available connectivity

I fixed it on my own! Have to enter the IP:Port manually!
