As a Windows user, I don't think "Ctrl+Insert" or "Shift+Insert" are what
Windows users are "used to", these are Linux / terminal frequently used
commands. For Windows, the standard is Ctrl+C / Ctrl+V (which do work in the
Arduino IDE).
As for Ctrl+End/Home, I think the appropriate shortcuts would be
Ctrl+Shift+Home and Ctrl+Shift+End - very useful for selecting all text from
the current line to the beginning/ending of the file (see ie. Notepad, Word,
etc. behaviour).
Shift+Up/Down/Right/Left already work, I don't understand what Ctrl+Up/Down
would be supposed to do. This issue needs more clarification.

Hi, Thanks for your consideration of this. Actually CTRL+INS and SHIFT+INS has
been supported in windows longer than Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V. More recent windows users
will not know about the INS keys but longer term windows users will know about
these keys and probably use them.
Ctrl+End/Home simply repositions to start/end of document without highlight (my
report was confusing).
Thanks again
