doroidwall gets switched off & is not reliable

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.droiwall gets switched off sometimes and you have to activate the service 
manually through settings
---->apply rules.
I have also installed advanced task manager but the app doesn't affect 
droidwall, because I have unchecked it.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Droidwall doesn't work reliably and you have always to control it. I have 
noticed how apps can access the internet although they shouldn't.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.5.7 and android 3.2 rooted

Yes I see this too, on 1.5.7.  Frequently apps update themselves when I have 
Google Play disabled.

I previously use Droidwall on myTouch Q, Gingerbread and on Samsung Galaxy S 
Blaze 4G. It worked. I am more careful now with a Google Nexus 4. Any feedback 
about its efficacy on Google Nexus 4, Jelly Bean 4.2.2 appreciated.
