'filter-n' command is poorly designed #10

Screenshot 2023-11-17 at 4.44.03 PM.png This is the current state of the contacts list. I have added many names. This is what happens after I type in 'filter-n ALE':

Screenshot 2023-11-17 at 4.44.54 PM.png As a user I would expect the Alex Yeoh's to show up. Upon checking the UG, it appears only full names are accepted, however, this is very inconvenient and can make it difficult to really filter out names (for example, what if I want to find people whose names start with "Alex Y..."?) Thus this feature can be improved despite this being the behaviour within AB3.

Team's Response

Thank you for your suggestion.

While we understand your point about the convenience of filtering by partial names, our system's current behaviour aligns with our intended design. We appreciate your feedback and will keep it in mind for future considerations. However, we believe that while this improved search feature is good to have, omission of this feature is not problematic for our users.
