Error message does not reflect error checking

The error message when the phone is in the incorrect format is that the phone number needs to be a valid international phone number format. However, when I typed in an invalid international phone number format that had a very long phone number that did not match the country code, it still accepted it. Thus, either the error message needs to be more accurate, or more specific error checking needs to be implemented to correspond to the error message.
