When support for Cassandra 4.1 was released the new c4.1 flavor was released it broke backwards compatibility and the version was stepped to 3.0, but the other flavors where not released at this time since the only change at that time was Cassandra 4.1 support and are still on version 2.11. But the feature level are still the same for all flavors so to reflect this for next release all flavors should be released as version 3.1.
