Calendar of another person #30

Open muthusuba opened 10 years ago

Seeing the calendar of another person is quite tricky. Seems like I would need to go to the 'create new event' dialog and enter the mail id there. Probably a quicker and simpler way would be much nicer.

[Again, I hope I am not missing something...]

Hi Muthu, I am assuming you are talking about checking the availability status of others before inviting them to an event. In current workflow of the event, you enters the event detail and then clicks invite attendees to add attendees and in that screen you can see the availablity of the attendees. What we can do is create one alternate method for event creation by altering the workflow for the event. We can first present the invite attendees window where you can choose the attendees and check their availablities. after finding the right slot you can proceed to next screen where you can fill up the other details for the event.

The use case is slightly different. One use case is when the user wants to "invite" others for a meeting (the current flow is fine for this). the other use case is when the user just wants to see the availability. This flow is missing and the user needs to go through "invite" flow to do this (currently).

In a dialog box, Can we have list of users(who are already in address book) on the left, available slot on the right... A checkbox on the LHS for user

Available slots can be checked dynamically same as invite attendees window At the bottom new event button which will open with selected attendees
