Not updating from Exchange Calendar #442

I'm running Exchange EWS Provider 3.3.1 on Lightning 4.0.6 on Thunderbird 38.6.0 on Windows 8.1.

Only other add-ons running are ExQuilla for Microsoft Exchange 45.0.1161; PrintingTools 1.2.5; Provider for Microsoft Exchange 0.18; and Smiley Fixer 1.4.1.

The issue is that after the calendar initially synced with the exchange server and updated it to show all current events, it won't show any new events, whether I create them through Lightning, or other staff create them trough Outlook, or the Outlook Web App.

Anything I create in Lightning can be seen by other users, but mine just never updates. I've also created the calendar again, which then does include the new event, but will not update to include any new entries. I have got it to work by changing the user name, and then changing it back to my actual username, but I'm hoping there's a better way to do it.

Hi Mechtilde,

I've removed that, and restarted the computer and Thunderbird a few times and I'm still getting the same issue. For now, I'm just having to close and reopen thunderbird once every hour or so.

I have the same problem: New events are not shown when added in Thunderbird. Additionally, I can't delete events I created.

I don't have any other exchange provider addons installed.

Edit: Just tested again with v3.7.0 – same problem.

can you check niw and confirm

n0rc commented 8 years ago

Just installed the current git version (build 3.8.0) – both problems persist.

New events:

  1. Create a new event in an exchange calendar – new event is not shown, not even after resetting the cache or synchronizing
  2. Close and restart Thunderbird – now the new event is shown

→ Currently Thunderbird needs to be restarted for every newly added event to show up

Deletion of own events:

Deleting own events is not possible with the context menu, the delete option there is always grayed out

→ If you open the event (doubleclick) the delete option in the menu bar works

@n0rc we have recent version beta3.

I installed the current git snapshot before and just tested the 3.8.0 beta 3 release – same problems.
