Search in calendar events does not span full prefetch period

I'm using version 3.9.0 and noticed the following behavior:

• I configured my calendar to prefetch events 12 month prior to today
• I the tab "offline caching" it says that e.g. 69 events are cached
• However, if (in lighting) I configure the search pane to show all future events, it lists far less that 69 events. It only shows the majority of the future events if I manually click (in monthly view) from the current to the next and to the following month.

Meaning, despite the fact that 69 events are cached, I cannot find these events when using the lighting search pane.
