Notice the last message is the same as the one reported.

Me too :-(, updated Thunderbird to 52.0. Also updated the EWS provider from 3.7.0 to 3.9.0. Now I get no password prompt and calendar is empty. Enabling logging I also see:

Same here with 3.9.0 after updating to Thunderbird 52.0:

Same problems for me running Thnderbird 52.1.1 and EWS 3.9.0
