Reverse Engineer with EF Core 5 shows error: Unable to Launch 'dotnet' version 3.1 #1197

When trying to do reverse Engineer with EF Core 5 selected in drop down menu it shows an error "Unable to Launch 'dotnet' version 3.1"

Steps to reproduce

Have .NET 5 sdk installed Install VS 2022 Install PowerTools in VS 2022.

dotnet --list-sdks 5.0.401 [C:\Program Files\dotnet\sdk] 6.0.100 [C:\Program Files\dotnet\sdk]

Further technical details

EF Core version in use: EF Core 5

EF Core Power Tools version: 2.5.832.0

Database engine: SQL Server

Visual Studio version: Visual Studio 2022 17.0.0

You need the 3.1 runtime installed, as stated here: https://github.com/ErikEJ/EFCorePowerTools#requirements

Has it always been like this? I can almos be shure that I have never had to install 3.1 before. 😳

I've started hitting this issue on at least two machines now. This used to work fine before (haven't used the functionality in about a year). I tried re-installing 3.1 sdk's with no success:

@Eternal21 that is a two year Old extension version. I am not supporting that.

Please try the latest daily build.

@ErikEJ I updated to latest, but at this point even trying to run About dialog results with the following error. When I get a chance, I'll try to set up a clean system and give it another try:

@Eternal21 If you use 2019 you need the latest dailybuild at the moment.
