OSX Universal Version

Dear Team,

sorry if this is not the right place to post this comment...

just wanted to say thank you so much for all your hard work developing ARDB. it 
is an excellent 
product which many of us in Singapore appreciate and use.

i also wanted to ask if there was any chance that a universal version of the 
program could be 
provided? i am a student and use quite an old ppc mac for everything digital 
and would love to 
use your program in a ppc architecture environment. currently i borrow my 
roommate's pc to 
build decks using ARDB.

thank you for everything and keep up the excellent work!

I haven't been around for a while because of personal reasons, sorry about 
that. If 
there's nobody that has a decent knowledge about creating universal binaries 
other 
then 'lipo' can create it, i'm assigning it to myself.

I may try to export project into XCode (uh oh ..) or modify automake scripts 
for 
cross compilation then use lipo to create a universal binary.

Hi,

You can find universal version of the latest build (revision 239) in downloads 
page.
I have an Intel Mac so i didn't have the opportunity to test it on PPC. I had 
one wxWidgets assert warning but it 
seemed to disappear after an update, now i cannot regenerate it.

If you are curious about how i did it, i recompiled wxwidgets, libiconv, zlib, 
libxml2, libxslt, sqlite to make 
them universal, created ppc and i386 versions of ardb, used lipo to create a 
universal binary.

I may not be able to update makefiles to support the creation of universal 
binaries at this time (because of 
midterms etc.) but i'll try to follow version bumps and create universal 
binaries of it.

Any feedbacks are welcome ...

It's been around ten days, so I am assuming that the problem is fixed. It would 
be better if someone with a ppc 
mac tests and gives feedback about it.
