Started running this on the server now. It's expected to take a few days...

It took around 6 days. Mixing was bad for Mu.S and h.sigma.S, so re-running with adjusted initial value simulation. Also running an alternative version where I changed the RE parameterisation (spatial RE also sampled with mean 0 as opposed to centralized).
