We need to evaluate the application's performance in the case of many users working in it simultaneously. This is not something that needs to be done before the launch, but it should be monitored afterwards and some time allotted to dealing with any problems that arise.
Additionally, calculation of certain part of the tool take a lot of time (e.g. the AF-overlap network when the overlap network degree is very high). Ger also mentioned the following:
"Het berekenen van een DCT (is toch de afkorting van Dynamic Comparison Table? Of Dynamic Codicological Table?) duurt lang. Ik heb als test een data set van 56 AF’s aangeleverd aan de tool. Na ongeveer een half uur is de server nog aan het rekenen. Dat is voorstelbaar, maar mogelijk moeten we de gebruiker waarschuwen dat het tijd kost. En/of dat er niet een hele grote dataset gekozen moet worden. Kan die berekening overigens ook op de achtergrond? Dat ik als gebruiker door kan werken terwijl de server rekent?"
